![]() ![]() We won’t be back and plan to tell everyone about this horrific experience.Welcome to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Phoenix, the popular water theme park located in North Phoenix at the Adobe Dam Regional Park near Pinnacle Peak. She offered us VIP passes but at this point we told her we were exhausted, frustrated and my friend has stage 4 cancer and we all needed to leave. We pleaded with her and explained our case. Candice, the “official supervisor” of this group informed us she wouldn’t be able to offer a refund. We approached the “supervisors office”, which consisted of a room of 18-24 year old kids, and asked for a refund. It was now 12pm, we had been at the park for 1 hour 30 minutes and rode 1 ride. My best friend with cancer was hurting and we decided we needed to leave. At this point we decided we couldn’t wait in any more lines and wanted to relax in the lazy river but discovered they don’t have any tubes, we were told this was caused by a “nation wide tube shortage”.Īt this point, we were burned out, extremely frustrated and exhausted. Our first ride was a 45 minute wait, followed by a 45 second ride! We then attempted to go on one of our favorite rides, Cyclone, and discovered it was closed due to staffing issues. We discovered this was due to staffing shortages. The lines were super long from the start. Parking was $20, tickets after fees were $55 each for adults and $30 for the 2 kids. Her two nieces were in town ( 8 and 13) and we decided to tough it out for them. I was with my best friend, who is battling stage 4 breast cancer (the cancer has spread to her brain, liver and lungs. I arrived Wednesday at 10:30am, right when they opened. Six Flages was so stupid to take over this water park! I'll end with this it shouldn't be Hurricane Harbor it should be Wet N Wild! Have a nice day Six Flages owner or not I DON'T CARE! Also, this is coming from the oldest great grandkid, so I don't even want to come back even as a kid to be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If the jungle Jim for kids is nice why can't the other rides for older people be nice to. My great grandkids came to visit and the oldest even said "It's a dump they need to fix this place up" I AGREE! Even in the little kid area there's this rainbow thing that sprays the little kids with water it doesn't work anymore, so dumb. You now need to pay extra for parking, what the heck! The waves in the wave pool were broken for 3 weeks, FIX IT! We went there for fun not for a dumpy place! The lights on one of one of the rides were broken. It needs to be cleaned it's a gross place to be I would rather stay home. Is this place is not a raging water quality, but it is a good park. Let finish up by saying I grew up in California going to water parks and theme parks more than I can count. We got the annual pass that gives us free parking every visit and is good for all six flags parks. All the employee's working that day were super nice and friendly.Īll in all, we had a great time and got an annual pass for the year. Otherwise every other food stand the lines moved quickly. ![]() The only real complaint I have about this place is the food line was long and they only had 2 people working the cash registers and there was no ice in the self service soda machine. I have to agree that they should have more rafts for the rides and we did have an ant problem by our lounge chair, but in Hurricane Harbor defense our grandkids left there sodas and food out. As it get more crowded the line and wait time get longer.Ī lot of reviews on yelp and trip advisor knock this place for not having enough tube and ants. I advised to get there when they open as you can get on the rides pretty quickly. We spent 7 hours at the park and were able to ride everything more than once. I asked an employee why and I was told they did not have enough life guards on duty to keep everyone safe. All the rides were working except for the wave lazy river. Once the gates opened we were able to get through Security pretty fast. the place didn't open till 11:00 so we had to wait in a short line until the gates opened. We got there at 10:30 in the morning, and we were able to park close to the entrance. If we would have gone to Sun Slash the other water park in Mesa it would have cost more. After paying for tickets, parking, lockers, 2 lounge and the meal plan it run about 400 bucks for five us. One thing everyone complained about was the cost. We decided to go and keep an opened mind about the place. Read the reviews and even watched YouTube video on the place. ![]() Knew about Hurricane Harbor for a while now. ![]()
